Reston Lloyd Electric Stove Burner Covers, Set of 4, Black

#1: Reston Lloyd Electric Stove Burner Covers, Set of 4, Black Reviews!

I have a teeny tiny stand-in-the-middle-and-reach-everything type apartment kitchen, and a lot of preparation must happen on the stove top because there is very little counter space...as a result, food, moisture and all sorts of other things were always falling into my stove. These burner covers have remedied all of the problems I was having, and I'm absolutely delighted by the way that the black ties in with the rest of my kitchen. They are well made and sit level, they are sturdy enough to put hot dishes on (2+ quart casseroles without bending), and they can be wiped down quickly just like the rest of the surfaces...no big hassle with constantly cleaning the burners and/or drip pans, or with bits of food or silverware falling in and disappearing. The price is very reasonable, so I bought 2 sets...I wanted to have the correct sizes to begin with (I have one large burner and three small ones), and I also wanted to have spare covers that match in case I needed to replace any of them in the future. I discovered that they are easily scratched by scotch-brite (I did this to one of mine with a soap filled dish wand soon after receiving them, and was very glad that I'd bought extras), so I would advise avoiding any abrasive cleaners.

Expensive and flimsy - T.C. Owens -
Prior to this purchase, I've bought covers from this company for both our old 24" electric stove and our newer 30" gas stove. This set was for the electric stove which has 3 small burners and 1 large one. Usually, I cover one back burner with a tea kettle rather than buy two sets of covers since most manufacturers tend to package these sets as 2 large and 2 small covers. In the past, the quality was far superior to the ones I can buy at a local discount store, but not this time. None of these covers fit their respective electric burners well and all were flimsy. On top of that, the ebony color spotted badly and the edges rusted after a couple of quick washings in the sink. I won't be buying these again.
